Thank you for your interest in Harbor Country Day School. Harbor welcomes new students at the beginning of each new academic year and during the year if there are openings.
Applications may be for enrollment in Early Childhood (PreK 3, PreK 4, K and Grade 1), Lower School (Grades 2, 3 and 4) and Upper School (Grades 5-8) programs. To begin the application process, click on the following link and complete the Online Application Inquiry Form or call 631-584-5555 and ask for Christine McBrien, Director of Admission to request an application package and to schedule a visit.
Admission Schedule
PreK 3 and PreK 4
Decisions on PreK applications are made on a rolling basis as space allows. Enrollment is open to children who will reach the age of 3 for PreK 3s, and the age 4 for PreK 4s, by December 1 of their entry year.
Grades K-8
February 28 - Application deadline for first round consideration. After this date applications will be considered on a rolling basis as long as there are openings.
March 10 - Letters notifying parents of the school’s decision will be mailed. Decisions on applications received after February 28 will be made on a rolling basis as space allows.
April 1 - Parent reply date.
School Visits
Candidates for all grades and their parents are required to have a school visit, and standardized testing may also be required.
Kindergarten applicants will be assessed by appointment through the Admission Office.
Grades K - 8 applicants will visit classes, and interview with the Head of School and the appropriate Division Director.
