Parents' Association

We believe that a collaborative partnership between the school and parents is essential for creating a nurturing and enriching environment that allows every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.  For more information, the Parents' Association coordinators may be reached at parentsassociation@hcdsny.org.

Key aspects of our Parents' Association:

  1. Engaging Events: We organize a variety of events throughout the academic year, such as cultural festivals, fundraising galas, family picnics, and seasonal celebrations. These events provide opportunities for families to connect, build lasting friendships, and celebrate the diverse backgrounds that enrich our school community.

  2. Community Service: We strongly believe in instilling a sense of social responsibility in our students. The Parents' Association organizes community service initiatives, encouraging families to participate together and model the importance of giving back.

  3. Fundraising for Enhancements: Our fundraising efforts contribute to the enhancement of school facilities, resources, and extracurricular activities. From funding new technology in classrooms to supporting arts and sports programs, our contributions directly impact the quality of education our students receive.

  4. Parent Liaison: We serve as a bridge between parents and the school administration. Our members actively communicate feedback, suggestions, and concerns, fostering an environment of open dialogue and continuous improvement.

  5. Inclusivity: Our Parents' Association is inclusive and welcoming to all families. We recognize and celebrate the diversity of our school community, and we value the perspectives and contributions of every member.

Joining the Parents' Association is an opportunity to be an integral part of your child's educational journey, make lasting connections, and actively contribute to the success of Harbor Country Day School. Together, we create an environment where every student can flourish academically and personally.  The group meets on a monthly basis.
