"Harbor cherishes childhood, cultivates wonder and inspires confident learners and leaders."

Christine McBrien, Director of Admission and Parent RelationsDear Prospective Families,

Thank you for expressing an interest in Harbor Country Day School. I hope you have had an opportunity to thoughtfully explore our website and that you have learned a little bit about what makes Harbor Country Day such a remarkable school.

As the director of admission, I am often asked to describe why Harbor Country Day School is unique. To be quite honest, I sometimes don’t know where to begin. I could start by speaking of the beautifully landscaped historical setting, the rigorous academics, and the supportive learning environment. I could go into great detail about our naturally inquisitive students, the impressive curriculum and extracurricular programs, strong student placement in competitive high schools, respectful interaction, and the inviting school community. However, despite all of these options, I generally start with something much more basic: the smiles. Harbor Country Day students absolutely love coming to school, and the evidence stretches from ear to ear on every face, throughout every grade. Harbor students are young people of strong character and self advocates in their own learning. At Harbor Country Day School, an education is not something to be endured, but rather, it is an enriching journey to be embraced, celebrated, and enjoyed.

I encourage you to learn more about Harbor Country Day School by either filling out the online information request form, contacting me directly, or setting up an appointment to visit us in person.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
