* Overnight Trip Information (Grades 5–8): Activity fees for upper grades include overnight educational travel experiences. Due to the shifting cost structures of travel, Spring 2027 overnight trip fees may increase by up to $200 for Grades 5–6 and $400 for Grades 7–8. Families will be notified well in advance of final adjustments.
What Activity Fees Support
- Activity fees are utilized directly to enrich the student experience and include coverage for:
- Classroom, science laboratory, and specialized art supplies.
- Campus technology resources and academic software licenses.
- Standardized testing administrative costs.
- Required grade-level field trips and regional transportation.
- Student activities, athletic uniforms, and team equipment
Additional Enrollment Fees:
- Application Fee: $75. A one-time, non-refundable fee is required for processing domestic applications.
- International Student Application Fee: $225. Required for processing international applicant files.
- Contract Deposit: 10% of total tuition. A non-refundable deposit is due upon enrollment for both new and returning students, applied directly toward your annual tuition balance.
- Parents' Association Fee: $50 per child. Supports campus community events, parent programming, and school-wide enrichment initiatives.
Flexible Payment Options
Families can select and manage their preferred installment path interest-free inside our secure Parent Portal:
- Annual Plan: 100% direct payment of full tuition and fees
- Semi-Annual Plan: A direct payment schedule split into two installments.
- Monthly Plan (FACTS): Ten equal monthly installments. Families may choose to finance part or all of their total tuition interest-free through the FACTS Management portal for a small annual application fee.
Tuition Assistance: A Partnership with Families
At Harbor, we believe an exceptional independent school education should be accessible to families who share our mission. To support this commitment, Harbor offers a need-based Tuition Assistance Program for qualifying students from Kindergarten through Grade 8.
To ensure absolute objectivity, Harbor partners with School and Student Services (SSS) by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). SSS acts as an independent, third-party service that evaluates a family's financial profile to provide a baseline calculation for our internal committee. All documentation, applications, and financial awards are handled with strict confidentiality and care.
- Returning Harbor Families (Grades K–8): Applications for tuition assistance open in early February. Returning families complete the online Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) through the SSS portal and upload necessary tax verifications, including recent W-2 forms.
- Newly Enrolling Families: Prospective families are welcome to apply for tuition assistance at any point during the standard admissions process. We highly encourage submitting your financial aid application simultaneously with your student's online application, as awards are granted based on verified eligibility and the availability of remaining school funds.
- Separate Determinations: Applying for tuition assistance has absolutely no bearing on a student's admissibility. Financial aid reviews are kept entirely separate from academic admission decisions.
- Annual Renewal: Because a family's financial profile can shift, tuition assistance is determined annually. Families must submit updated financial documentation each year to renew their award.
