Gifts made to the Faculty Endowment will enable Harbor to attract and retain the most exceptional, inspired teachers – those who embody the school’s mission to “cherish childhood, cultivate wonder and inspire confident learners and leaders.” This fund will support faculty salaries and benefits, as well as provide enrichment opportunities that enable faculty members to continually hone their teaching skills and embrace the most innovative and foremost teaching methods and tools. The Faculty Endowment also provides teachers with the resources they need to continue to provide students with an engaging, challenging, 21st century education.

Harbor believes that a diverse, inclusive community provides the optimal environment for learning and is key to fostering an innovative educational program. Toward that end, Harbor has made a strong commitment to providing tuition assistance to families who cannot otherwise afford the full cost of tuition but whose children are capable of succeeding and thriving in Harbor’s intellectually challenging environment. As one can imagine, however, there is a significant cost associated with funding such an effort. Therefore, the tuition assistance component is an essential part of the Tulip Knoll Endowment. This program will help with affordability, by funding the gap between the cost of a Harbor Country Day School education and what families can pay.
