Lunch Ordering Instructions & Menu

We are excited to announce that we are implementing an online school lunch ordering system. With the partnership of EZ School Apps, we are providing all Harbor families with this efficient, easy-to-use tool. Please refer to the User Guide & Instructions linked above to activate your account and set up a password whether you plan to utilize our school lunch program or not.

Once you have reset your password, you should be taken to Harbor's lunch menu (be sure that your account is showing the correct month's menu)
Make your menu selections for the month by clicking on individual food options for all days that you wish to order lunch
After making your lunch selections, you can click the orange button in the upper right corner of your screen to print your personalized menu and drop it to Meredith Valasek with a check attached (as we have offered in the past)
This app will also allow you to submit orders online and pay by credit card
A convenience fee of $2.50 will be applied each time you replenish your account
Please note that separate accounts have been created for students within the same family. Separate lunch orders need to be placed for each child.

School Uniform & Spirit Wear Info

Uniform Requirements

Get your Harbor Uniforms HERE

Students in PK2, PK3, and PK4 do not have a specific dress code but should wear comfortable and clean clothing with sneakers. We ask each child to bring in two sets of emergency clothes and one set of rain boots. (The classroom uniform listed below is optional for these grades.)

Students in kindergarten through eighth grade should visit the Lands’ End webpage (see instructions below) where grade-specific uniforms are listed. Sneakers are accepted as footwear.

Lands’ End Information

For placing your orders, Lands’ End’s school merchandise website is landsend.com/school. Their telephone # is 1-800-469-2222. Our preferred school number is 900108663; please remember to give this number to Lands’ End when placing your order. Please be sure to enter the correct numbers when placing your orders. For all other Lands’ End inquiries such as clothing quality or country of origin, contact customer service at 1-800-332-4700. All questions or problems regarding the school uniform policy should be directed to Meredith Valasek, mvalasek@hcdsny.org.

Spirit Wear Dress Code

Only on Friday, students can wear appropriate bottoms of their choice and a Harbor spirit wear or uniform shirt.

Spirit wear bottoms include jeans, sweatpants, leggings, and school-appropriate length shorts.
Spirit wear tops can be purchased from the online store, or students can wear a uniform shirt. Shirts that do not contain a Harbor logo are not considered spirit wear and cannot be worn on Spirit days.

Telephone, Cell Phone & Smart Watch Policy

If there is a need for a student to call home, they may use the phone in the Main Office to do so.

Cell phones* may be brought to school, but must be kept in lockers/cubbies during school hours. Parents/guardians are asked to please call the Main Office (631-584-5555) to leave messages for students and/or school personnel. Parents should not be texting their child/ren during school hours.

*If a student is found using, or in possession of, their cell phone during the school day, it will be confiscated and returned at the conclusion of the day. A second offense will result in the student completely losing the privilege of bringing their phone to school.

**Students are not to make calls or send messages via Smart Watches during school hours. Should a smart watch become a distraction for the student and/or the class, the student may be asked to leave the watch in their locker/cubby for the remainder of the day. Repeat incidents may also result in the student completely losing the privilege of bringing their smart watch to school.
